The Ricotta Layer
The Ricotta Layer, are a popular Americana-style duo/trio featuring scintillating vocal harmonies, great songwriting, superb guitar playing…. and as a trio, even a bit of accordion and banjo.
As well as our own compositions, we champion contemporary American songwriters that are relatively unknown in this country outside of the mainstream. You’ll hear songs by such amazing artistes as Sarah Jarosz, Chris Stapleton, Lori McKenna and Gillian Welch & David Rawlings. For us, the lyrics are as relevant as the music and we hopefully do them justice with our vocal harmonies and instrumental work - at least Lori McKenna and Sarah Jarosz’s management think so!
